Psychology Education
Program Competency:
Synthesize education psychology major theoretical perspective & methods to teaching, learning, and schooling.
Artifacts Completed for Competency:
Case Study
What I Learned:
When I finished the Psychology class, I learned a lot of different things about different developmental theories. During the course, I was able to learn a lot about the cognitive and psychosocial theories from Erickson, Kohlberg, Piaget, and Vygotsky. During this class, I was able to complete a case study artifact on a 4-year-old boy. For the case study, I was able to watch the child's developments in socially, cognitively, physically, and morally.
How this helps my future:
Now that I have learned about how to use different types of developments for children, I plan to use this knowledge to better serve students. Knowing what my student's developments are I will be able to create lessons using different activates that will incorporate their social, physical, cognitive, and moral developments. Using activities and different assignments on their development level this will help my students stay engaged with what we are learning.
